Mother's Day in October

So this weekend Joseph, Shelby, and I went to Palestine in the morning so that we could eat lunch with Dad and Sharon.  We had burgers and hotdogs by "Joe" and they were great. (oh yeah, shrimp too).  We were then delighted to see Joseph and Dad work on getting the world's easiest remote for multiple functions to work.  Does such a thing truly exist??  It was real fun though just being in Palestine at home to hang out and relax.   After lunch Shelby and I drove up to Tyler to get her wedding dress finalized and fixed all up just right for the big day.  I have to say, today was the first day that I really wanted to see her in her dress, especially with all the Murray's saying how pretty and awesome it was.

Here's Joe driving to Palestine in my Sentra.  It has one gear, . . .that only goes about 80 m.p.h.  Needless to say, we made it in one piece, and had fun doing it.

These were the flowers Shelby and I put together (mainly Shelby, but I supported).  We even got little pumpkin things to put there too (Serena's idea).  It turned out really nice I thought, and I know Mom would've loved it.  Shelby's sooo awesome!!

After Palestine we came back to College Station and met up with Serena, Dave, and Maggie to eat dinner together.  Serena cooked, Dave watched Maggie dance, and the rest of us just drooled over the food (even Shelby).  The menu tonight included bulgolgi, white rice, veggies, soy sauce, and all you can eat KIMCHEE, . . .and ginger ale. lol.  We all tore it up including Dave aaaand Shelby.  Too bad Anthony that you couldn't be down.  I've actually got downloaded a program that makes the picture above a scratch and sniff, so have at it.

For all though, today was a memorable day for our Mom.  We all miss her and hope that today was honorable for her.   We can all remember the good times and everything that she taught us so that her life won't be forgotten.  I love you all and wish the best for everyone.

We had a great time with you all too! Maggie is really getting comfortable being around Casey and Parker. Pretty soon, she'll be chasing them and throwing the ball... Casey would LOVE that!! Thanks for bringing Mom the flowers, they are beautiful!
